Marlie DeSwart lives 500 feet from the ocean, in Bolinas, California.She owns Black Mountain Artisans a local fiber artist cooperative in Point Reyes Station.Marlie has had many art exhibits with her fiber work in the Bay Area. She did an instructional film on spinning and knitting with local wool on Windrush Farm on INSP Handcrafted America with Jill Wagner.Marlie wrote a book of patterns using local wool: Knitting Woolscapes Designs inspired by local Marin Wool. Marlie knits with handspun and natural dyed yarns. She designs sweaters and other garments. She weaves with local natural colored wool and alpaca. Marlie does it all!
