2NFrom

Making hats and bags using local sheep wool, alpaca fibers, hides, and naturally colored cotton from Sally Fox (Foxfibre®). The mission of 2NFrom™ is simple — to use sustainable fabrics and existing materials to create beautiful, handcrafted accessories. I source materials from unexpected places that inspire and bring character into each product I make. Creative imagery flows into expressions of wearable art.

As an artisan member of the Northern California Fibershed Cooperative, I have had the pleasure to work with local fiber farmers procuring beautiful local and regional materials to make into my products.

Felted Wool Hat in Olive with Handwoven Hatband
The wool in this hat is from the Shetland breed sheep. The clean fleece was dyed in fennel and iron before felting and it produced a beautiful olive color. The hatband is handwoven on my inkle loom from naturally colored cotton. This hat is completely handcrafted by me, starting from the raw fleece to the finished hat. The adornment on the hatband is a piece of bone found in the forest that I have etched into.
Felted Wool Hat in Indigo
Wool from the English Leicester breed sheep, a luxurious rugged hand has been dyed in an indigo bath before felting. The end result is a hat with a beautiful steel blue color. The matching hatband is hand stitched on to the hat, adorned with a found blue feather. This hat is completely handcrafted by me, starting from the raw fleece to the finished hat. The adornment on the hatband is a slice from an antler found in the forest.
Newsboy Cap Black shetland and alpaca blend
Ubiquitous black cap for all weather, made from a blend of shetland and alpace with a piece of merino in the sweatband for softness against the forehead.  Black sheep wool is not very common.  Black wool was considered undesirable because it could not be dyed.  I work closely with our regional farmers and find black wool and fibers to work into this hat.
