Barinaga Ranch

I come from a family of Basque shepherds, and my passion is for raising healthy, happy sheep in a manner that is in harmony with our environment.
My flock of Romney, Corriedale and Cormo-Corriedale cross sheep graze on 75 acres of organically-managed, transitioning to climate-beneficial, pasture on our ranch in Marshall. My Romney flock is a mix of white and recessive-colored, which have lovely pearly-gray to charcoal-gray fleeces. In 2022 we introduced some Moorit (brown) Romneys and will have Moorit wool products for sale in 2023. My Corriedale and Cormo-cross flock is a mix of white and black. My yarn is spun at Valley Oak and Mendocino wool mills. I have natural-colored yarn in all the colors of our sheep, white yarn and yarn that has been hand-dyed with natural dye plants we grow on the ranch or source locally. I also have lambskins and raw fleeces for sale. My sheep all wear coats to keep their fleeces free of vegetable matter.
